TREE CHANGE DOLLS STRIPS THE MAKEUP OFF BRATZ

I am enchanted with Tree Change Dolls.Australian artist Sonia Singh upcycles cast off Bratz dolls and removes and replaces their heavy makeup with lovely, natural little girl looks.

Images of the Tasmanian doll artist's work have gone viral for many fantastic reasons. Singh writes, “These dolls have been rescued and rehabilitated from op-shops and tip shops around Tasmania. These lil fashion dolls have opted for a "tree change", swapping their high-maintenance high-fashion habits for down-to-earth style. I hand repaint the dolls faces, mold new shoes, and my Mum sews and knits their clothing.”

The one-of-a-kind dolls appeal to girls of all ages.  The artist is charming and generous, and it shows in her work.  Her dolls are almost always sold as soon as they hit her Etsy store, but she posts new ones on a regular basis, as well as photos of her work and knitting patterns so you can make the clothes yourself. - www.etsy.com/au/shop/treechangedolls

"I also want to encourage and inspire others to get creative and reuse and recycle second-hand toys, " says Singh, "so check out my first DIY video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqiNDsTcknk and the second one at www.youtube.com/watch?v=bduNyTTIvF4

Something overproduced and unloved has been upcycled into something treasured, and she freely shares, in detail, her techniques.  I can only hope to bring as much positive energy into everything I produce!
