Ash & Rose is an ethical fashion boutique that believes in shopping thoughtfully. Ash & Rose carries a wide range of local and global brands that care about other people and the planet. Their product selection features ethical clothing and accessories that supports small independent designers and artisans abroad. Recently I had the chance to style some ethical outfits for the holidays! I’m excited to share what I came up with and all the beautiful products from Ash & Rose.
Look #1: Winter White + Mixed Metal Jewelry
I always appreciate a good white sweater as they’re easy to pair with denim, black jeans, and add pops of color with bold jackets or accessories. The Waffle Knit Hawthorne Top is definitely a great go-to white sweater to keep in your closet. This is a wonderful transitional sweater to have between seasons due to the light weight and short sleeves. I chose to pair this sweater with the Fringe Hem Cropped Black Jeans. This top is ethically made in India by Ash & Rose’s partner brand Synergy. This sweater is consciously crafted with modal and spandex creating a soft and flowy feel. I adored the lay of this sweater. The flowy fabric allowed this to lay beautifully on my body. This sweater features unique details such as the cowl neck top, a hi-lo hem, side splits, and dropped shoulders to keep you cozy and styling during the holidays. The Waffle Knit Hawthorne Top is ethically made in India by Ash & Rose’s partner brand Synergy.
With this outfit I wanted to keep the focus on the gorgeous cowl neck, so I chose to accessorize with the simple yet bold Linked Earrings, the Sarah Brass Cuff Bracelet, and the Brown Full Grain Leather Wristlet. The Linked Earrings provided contrasting mixed metals for a unique style. I appreciated the varying widths of the Sarah Brass Cuff. The wide bracelet ends with a skinner center made the cuff stand out more. And to top it all off the wristlet is great for carrying your essentials such as your phone and credit cards.
Look #2: A Show Stopping Dress for the Holidays
WOW y’all! The Moonlight Cocktail Dress might have unexpectedly been my favorite piece. While I thought it was beautiful online, you really can’t do this dress justice until you put it on. This cocktail dress is part of the Ash & Rose collection and was hand sewn in Massachusetts with designer deadstock fabric. This fabric is GORGEOUS showcasing a subtly shimmery floral pattern. The floral pattern features hints of neutrals, purples, pinks, and silvers which are contrasted by the black background. The stretchiness of the fabric allows this dress to beautifully fit to the curves of your body.
While I typically shy away from dresses that hug your body because I tend to feel uncomfortable, but this dress hugged in all the right places without feeling too tight. I ordered a medium and feel that this dress is true to size. I appreciate the length of this dress hitting slightly below the knee. This is a fabulous dress for the holiday season. With the bold pattern of this dress I wanted to pick out some shiny accessories that would compliment the gorgeous colors. I accessorized this dress with the Fringe Earrings and Cobblestone bracelet.
I added the Sediment Alpaca Reversible Wrap as an additional accessory to keep warm during the winter months. This wrap is SO cozy and soft. This wrap is made by Ash & Rose’s partner brand Shupaca. Shupaca works with South American artisans and their families to ensure products that exude indigenous quality while remaining fashionably relevant to the here and now. All products are handwoven on wood looms using the same methods that have been practiced for hundreds of years. The wrap would make a luxurious gift for any of your loved ones.
Look #3: Cozy Colors & Layers
Layers are always incredibly important for fall and winter which is why I was so excited to put together this outfit. I paired the Javits Ribbed Cardigan with the Secret Garden Top, and the Fringe Hem Cropped Black Jeans. I appreciate how the mustard color of the cardigan complimented the warm tones from the embroidery of the Secret Garden Top. And I’m obsessed with the Fringe Hem Cropped Jeans! The fringe is just so fun and ethical denim can be so tricky to find. But lucky for us these are made in the USA by Ash & Rose’s partner brand Just Black Denim.
I didn’t want to take away from the beautiful embroidered pattern on the shirt or the fun fringe on the jeans, so I went with some minimalist earrings for my jewelry. The Celestia Crawlers were the perfect touch for a bit of sparkle.
I added the Floraciones Embroidered Clutch to continue with the embroidery theme. This gorgeous purse is ethically made in Peru according to fair trade guidelines, creating employment opportunities for indigenous women in rural areas. This clutch is a great size for carrying your essentials.
If you’re looking to cozy up your wardrobe this winter or searching for a gift for your favorite fashionista, I’d highly encourage you to check out Ash & Rose. I was so impressed with all of their products!
