As Seen On...Carol Fontoura
Are you uninspired by your fall warbrobe? Maybe it's time to add some color and pattern! We had a great time shooting with powerhouse instagrammer Carol Fontoura (@carolfontoura_), who showed us how to push the envelope and create bold new looks for the fall. Carol was born in Brazil and now lives in Boston, she speaks 3 languages, and she loves all things fashion and natural beauty. Her recent trip to New York Fashion Week inspired her playful-yet-professional styling of her favorite Ash & Rose pieces.
Carol is passionate about giving back, and recently joined forces with Dress for Success right here in Boston. This organization empowers women by offering professional attire free of charge in order for disadvantaged women to achieve independent economic success.
Carol started things out with a playful pairing of the Evette Cat Print Top by People Tree and the Dotty Skirt from the Ash & Rose Collection, paired with some nude pumps. She loves the mixed prints (especially the mini cats!) and the fact that this comfy outfit can go from work to meeting up with friends.
Her next look is the beautiful Elizabeth Wrap Dress from Symbology, paired with the Art Nouveau Necklace by Larissa Loden and Ketema Bracelet from Raven + Lily. She loved how the dress was lightweight and floaty with a cool metallic print. The sheer sleeves and back added to the drama, making it a great choice for a wedding or special event.
Carol wanted to really go bold for her final look, so she grabbed the bright orange Lila Blouse by KAS and paired it with the Atomic Flowers Skirt from the Ash & Rose Collection and Trio Drop Earrings from Leslie Ponder. We were all impressed by this daring combo that totally worked - the clashing patterns really played off eachother, and the loose fit of the blouse balanced out the tightly fitted skirt.
