MEET TONLÉ - VIDEO

One of the greatest perks of my job is that I'm constantly interacting with creative, passionate women who are making a real difference all around the globe. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting designer Rachel Faller for lunch at Life Alive in Cambridge (a fantastic vegetarian food spot, highly recommended!).

Rachel is the founder and designer behind Tonlé, a zero-waste fashion label she created while on a Fulbright fellowship in Cambodia. She saw the enormous waste produced by the apparel manufacturers there, and created a workshop to find ways to re-use some of that waste while offering safe, well-paying jobs for the local people.

When her fellowship ended, Rachel knew she couldn't leave her workshop behind. She rebranded as Tonlé and now has a full collection and employs a staff of over 40 people. This brand video is one of the best and most creative I've ever seen, so I'll stop writing and let Rachel do the talking!
